A Smart Way to Start Doing Good:

Raising children’s voices for the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals

What are the 17 SDGs? Is there an easy way to memorize them all? At what age should children learn about these important priorities for people globally and for our planet? Why does the voice of a child matter and can a single child really make a difference? All these questions and more will be addressed in this colorful talk on sustainability.

We´ve invited an Expert on Gender Equality, Dr. Mara Harvey.

“I am passionately driven by two strong beliefs: that we cannot wait another 100+ years to see economic gender equality come to life, and that daily financial decisions are the most untapped source of positive social change. These convictions are at the heart of my stories.

Dr. Mara Catherine Harvey is a senior leader in finance with 20 years of experience in wealth management. Over the past years, she has committed to advancing equality in finance, empowering women financially and making gender equality investable. She is an advocate for SDG 5 and published author. Her latest publications are Women and Risk (2018) and a children’s book series on money, ethics and equality: A Smart Way To Start (2018, 2019).
